are pleased you have expressed interest in spending
some time at camp kaleo. it is our desire to provide you the best
possible setting for you and your group. we would like for you to
know more about camp kaleo.
it
was established in 1986, and is located just south of forsyth, georgia.
the facilities are built to be comfortable and rustic while maintaining
a wilderness camp atmosphere. camp kaleo is a 318-acre wilderness
camp with trails cutting through the hardwood forest. camp kaleo
also has a 29-acre lake, large swimming pool, activity fields, sand
volleyball court, a regulation size gymnasium and log cabin design
buildings throughout the camp.
the
primary use of camp kaleo is a summer camp, primarily june and july
for the royal ambassador ministry of men's ministries of the georgia
baptist convention. other groups, such as churches, youth, and families,
are welcome to use the camp during the summer when space provides.
camp
kaleo is owned by the executive committee of the georgia baptist
convention and is operated by men’s ministries. camp Kaleo
is open for public rentals. You may schedule a time at camp kaleo
during the off-season by contacting men’s ministries at (770)
936-5255.
michael
flowers, camp director, is responsible for the camp program
and promotions. resident manager, roger pearson, is responsible
for
the onsite maintenance and service to those persons using the
camp.
